Y&R PreVUE: Week of December 13 Edition

Photo/CBS

Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 11:19 PM ET by Venus Stone

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) Read between the lines…

THIS WEEK ON:THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Nick deep freezes Phyllis over Restless Style's new expose. Tuesday, December 14th Jana thinks of making Daisy's baby her ace to get Kevin back in her life. That same day, Kevin declares that maybe Chloe and he being an item can't be all that bad. Victoria keeps falling short when it comes to the one thing she truly wants. On Thursday, December 16th Adam's lead could do him more harm than good. Things take a different turn between Nick and Diane, Friday, December 17th.

The Inside Story: Stop Spreading the News
With the new Restless Style out on the stands featuring both Adam and Sharon, a disgusted Nick goes to the office and rips into Billy. He points out that he fears that Noah will want to leave Genoa City again because of the way Sharon has been portrayed in the article. Unfazed, however, Billy gloats that he can write as he pleases and will continue to do so. Things get nasty, however, when Victoria stands by her man, pointing out to Nick that Sharon's actions are her own doing for being exploited. Angry that his sister would side with Billy, Nick points out that she's no better than Sharon is: choosing men of unworthy character. Hurt by his words, Victoria turns her back on Nick, leaving the problems between them even more harder to work out. Meanwhile, Adam and Sharon set out to prove that he didn't kill Skye. They both decide to head to the last place that Skye was seen to search for any type of clue to help clear his name. Phyllis, however, with the encouragement of Billy wanting more to add to the series about Adam, decides to start looking for clues to incriminate him. When she arrives at the hotel, she comes face-to-face with Adam and Sharon. Words fly between the three of them. Sharon shuts Phyllis up with a challenge: if evidence surfaces to prove Adam innocent, she has to write an article pointing that Adam was set up. Phyllis not fazed by Sharon's challenge throws one of her own: if Sharon and Adam can find actual proof that he's been set up, she'll put them in the magazine.

A Closer Look: A Dark Cloud Looms Over Cane
As dinner is set to take place at the Chancellor Estate, Jill unwittingly creates trouble for Cane when she brings Colin as her guest. Cane has a hard time controlling his composure when Colin purposely taunts him during the course of his being there. Colin soon starts to fill Jill in on a young lady named Samantha that he and Cane have in common with. Jill is even more transfixed on her new friend. Colin continues to taunt his son, as more details about Cane's past comes to light; one being offered to be a professional rugby player. The moment Cane and his father are alone, he demands that he leave him alone. Colin, however, unnerved issues his own warning: if he doesn't return back to the family business, he will do whatever to destroy his happy home by telling the truth about him to both Jill and Lily.

‘AMC’s’ Morgan Takes a Break

Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 6:00 PM ET by Angela Rosa

Photo: Steve Fenn/ABC

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – Personal issues bench one of “All My Children’s” biggest stars.

Debbie Morgan is currently in the middle of an unplanned leave from the ABC soap that put her on the map, “All My Children.” When inquired about the situation, a spokesperson for the soap that Morgan rejoined in January 2008 tells Soap Opera Network that the actress is “taking a brief hiatus to attend to a personal family matter.”

Fans may have noticed that many of the spoiled scenes for Dr. Angela Hubbard – Morgan’s alter-ego - have not aired going as far back as the week of November 15 (which was taped in early October). Though the actress did briefly appear in two episodes since then, do not expect to see Dr. Hubbard appear in too many more spoiled or unspoiled scenes for the time being. At this time, “AMC” does not have a set tape-or-air-date for Morgan’s return.

SON will keep you updated on this developing story.

New Opening For ‘AMC’?

Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 6:00 PM ET by Angela Rosa

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – “All My Children’s” opening set for some changes in the coming weeks.

Are you tired of seeing long-time brunette Melissa Claire Egan as a blond in the “All My Children” opening? Does it give you a sense of false hope to see all the actors lost to the ABC soap in the past year still hanging around in the credits? Is your favorite new “AMC” character still not in the opening? There may be hope!

Last week, “AMC” actress Christina Lind (Bianca) went on Twitter to announce that the show was finally making changes to the opening including finally putting the actress who joined the soap in June in it. The actress alluded to the opening taking a whole new look when inquired further on the topic, “they kept the song…but the visual will be different.”

There has since been conflicting reports on the exact nature of the changes to the opening, when Soap Opera Network asked an “AMC” spokesperson about a potential debut date and the prospect of an updated opening versus a brand new opening we got a resounding “nothing to report at this time.” Take that how you will.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) –

The Martin’s lose a son in the new year. Finn Wittrock and “All My Children” set to part ways.

Early last week, Soaps In Depth broke the news that Finn Wittrock is out as Tad Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) surprise son, Damon Miller.

Although, SID alluded to the actor being let go, a spokesperson for the show reports that the actor “reached the end of his contract and decided that he didn’t want to renew it.” Wittrock debuted on “All My Children” in October 2008.

The Julliard graduate is reportedly dating Brittany Allen, who was let go as “AMC’s” Marissa Tasker earlier this fall (Allen last airs on Monday, December 20). Wittrock is currently starring in a production of “The Laramie Project” with The Mechanicals Theatre Group. The young actor, who is reportedly in good spirits, told SID that he’ll continue taping at “AMC” for a few more weeks. Damon’s exit will tie in to the growing connection between Damon and his boss and girlfriend’s mother, Liza Colby (Jamie Luner), escalating.

Look for Damon to continue to air through January 2011.

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
