(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Just when you thought the cast of “One Life to Live” couldn’t get any more bloated than it already was, the soap adds one new character and issues casting calls for two others.

In addition to the “One Life’s” quest to recast the the role of Viki and Clint’s youngest son Joey, which SON told you about last week, the show’s casting department has been busy working to fill a few other new upcoming roles as well.

For starters, are you like the one or two other “OLTL” fans that can’t get enough of the Ford brothers? Then you’re in luck. The Ford family unit is now complete in Llanview as Soap Opera Digest reports that the show has tapped John Wesley Shipp for the recurring role of the boys father (and Inez’s ex-husband) Eddie, who is described as being in his “40’s, early 50’s, underneath his hot, handsome, sexy, charming exterior lies an extremely violent and abusive nature.”

This will mark Shipp’s second stint in Llanview. In 1989, he played Blanchard Lovelace on the show. In addition, the actor has also appeared on “Guiding Light,” “As the World Turns,” “All My Children,” “Santa Barbara,” “Palmetto Pointe,” “Sisters,” and “Dawson’s Creek.”

Look for Shipp is first air as Eddie sometime in early November.

Also, “One Life to Live” has released a casting call for the conract role of “Aubrey,” who is said to be a “beautiful, sexy Caucasian woman in her mid 20s-30s, who’s proper breeding masks her free-spirited nature.”

Lastly, the show has also issued a casting call for the minor role of “Vimal.” As the scene opens, “Markus” is telling Vimal that he has another job for him, since he did such a terrific job with the clone, saying that he’s sure it will give them safe entry into the hospital. Vimal replies that he is proud of his work. Markus tells him that’s good, since his life depends on it. Despite Vimal’s questions and objections, Markus tells him that there are some DNA tests that are pending at Llanview Hospital, and that he going to go into the lab and ensure that the tests turn out the way he wants them to. To this, Vimal agrees that it is a challenge, but reminds Markus that tampering with DNA tests is illegal. Markus says that’s true, but only if you get caught, and that Vimal must be discreet. He goes on to remind Vimal that, if he does as he is told, he will have a bright future ahead of him…maybe even becoming head of the department. Persuading to do the job, Vimal says he will do it. As the scene ends, Markus informs him that there is one other little thing that he needs Vimal to do while he is in the lab.
