(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — ‘All My Children’ set to add some latin flavor to their cast this fall.

ABC Soaps In Depth broke the news this afternoon that “All My Children” has hired soap alums Jordi Vilasuso and Lindsay Hartley to play new roles on the ABC Daytime soap this fall.

Emmy-winner Jordi Vilasuso has been cast in the new role of Griffin Castillo. The Cuban-American actor will debut as Griffin on Monday, November 15. Although Griffin’s introduction will be tied to Jake and Amanda Martin (Ricky Paull Goldin and Chrishell Stause), sources have indicated that the character is slated to be Kendall Hart Slater’s (Alicia Minshew) next love-interest. “AMC” and Thorsten Kaye, who plays the current love interest of Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) first born daughter, have so far been unable to come to an agreement to keep the actor on the show long-term. Some of daytime’s hottest actors, including Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky, “General Hospital”) and Austin Peck (ex-Brad, “As the World Turns;” ex-Austin, “Days of Our Lives”), auditioned for the high profile role. Vilasuso won an Outstanding Younger Leading Actor Emmy for his work on Guiding Light as the original Tony Santos, a role he played from August 2000 to August 2003. The 29-year old actor also guest-starred on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Numb3rs,” starred on the English Language soap opera “Fashion House,” and has appeared in several films.

Lindsay Hartley debuts in the role of Cara Finn on Wednesday, December 8. Cara Finn is most likely short for Carolyn Finn, the name of Dr. Martin’s ex-wife. Hartley began her career on NBC’s very popular soap opera “Passions.” The 32-year old actress played the role of the very dramatic and oft-time tearful Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald from 1999 to the show’s cancellation in 2008. Hartley’s on-screen arch-enemy on “Passions” was played by Lucci’s real-life daughter, Liza Huber. Hartley joined NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” as Arianna Hernandez in 2009 but was recently let go. The arrival of Carolyn – or a relation to the fromer Mrs. Martin – in Pine Valley is sure to stir up some trouble in the Martin marriage. Hartley is married to former Passions co-star Justin Hartley. The couple shares one child, a daughter named Isabella Justice.

Both roles are contract.

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
