IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Wanting to spend a few days alone, JR invites Marissa to the beach cottage and she accepts. Plans get spoiled after Marissa argues with Krystal over numerous things such as her accepting Caleb’s job offer to JR’s desire to have children. JR finds a journal and is shocked at what he reads.

Colby learns about the pill switch but Damon insists she not call the cops on her mom. Colby insists she and Damon return home.

Both feeling alienated from their daughters, Liza and Krystal share an unlikely alliance.

Angie informs Jake that she wants him to be the next Chief of Staff when she has to step down because of her vision. Angie tells Frankie and Natalia about the baby and her vision problem.

THIS WEEK ON: GENERAL HOSPITAL

Carly continues to undermine Lulu’s trust in Dante. Dante gently shuts down Brook’s not so subtle advances. Carly refuses to heed Jason’s advice. Dante and Lulu explore the topic of marriage. Lucky appeals to Karen and emerges a true hero. Maxie and Lucky get closer on Wednesday, August 11. Will Maxie listen to Matt’s warning? Kristina confides her fears to Michael. On Thursday, August 12, Lisa makes life very uncomfortable for Steve and Patrick while Robin is away. Maxie helps Patrick get out of a tricky situation with a brazen Lisa.

The Inside Story: Who’s That Girl?
Sonny mistakes Claire for Brenda. Back at his place, Sonny opens up to Claire about his history with Ms. Barrett. Sonny pulls Claire into a kiss in an attempt to get Brenda off his mind. Claire appears to be succumbing to Sonny’s charms. The lawyer questions if Sonny has ever loved a woman with his entire heart before departing. Alone, Sonny’s thoughts drift back to Brenda. Brenda, meanwhile, surfaces in Rome on Wednesday, August 11. Despite threats from the Russian mob, Brenda resolves to use her celebrity to bring attention to the Alliance to Save Exploited Children. Sonny confides in Mike that he can’t get Brenda off of his mind. On Friday, August 13, Brenda finds herself consumed with thoughts of Sonny as she prepares for an exciting night with international movie star Murphy Sinclair.

On Tuesday, August 10, Don’t miss “Brenda Barrett’s Men: A Special General Hospital Marathon” airing from 1 to 4 P.M. EST on ABC and SOAPnet. These are encore presentations of classic “GH” episodes. In the first hour, Sonny brings an unexpected surprise (read: long-lost wife) to Jax Jacks and an angry Brenda’s wedding in this episode from November 5, 1996. In the second hour, Sonny Corinthos breaks Brenda’s heart when he fails to show up for their own wedding on this repeat from September 24, 1997. Finally, go back with “GH” to October 29, 2002, when Brenda makes an honest man of Sonny’s favorite boy-toy, Jason Morgan.

A Closer Look: Crime and Punishment
Johnny accuses Dante of once again compromising himself to protect Sonny. Olivia makes a heartfelt plea to Johnny on Monday, August 9. Johnny makes contact with Judge Carroll and informs him of what Sonny’s been up to. Judge Carroll’s blood boils when Johnny fills him in on Claire’s unorthodox relationship with Sonny. Ethan bails Johnny out. Michael goes to see Johnny determined to broker peace. On Thursday, August 12, the Lopez family attempt to exact their revenge with a storm of gunfire. Michael saves Johnny’s life. Dante, Johnny, and Ethan cover up Michael’s involvement in the shoot-out. Sonny manages to score Jason’s freedom in his game with Claire. Johnny remains determined to destroy Sonny.

THIS WEEK ON: ONE LIFE TO LIVE

“One Life to Live” will not air on Tuesday, August 10; an encore presentation of “General Hospital” will air in the 2 P.M. ET time-slot.

Natalie tells Brody she is pregnant on Monday, August 9, and that she isn’t sure who the father is. She then confesses that she contemplated aborting the baby, but changed her mind since it may be John’s. Viki and Charlie return home from their vacation on Wednesday, August 11, when they learn of Jessica’s pregnancy.  Meanwhile, John wonders what is taking Natalie and Brody so long at the crime scene. On Thursday, August 12, Natalie tells John she wasn’t feeling well and had to tell Brody she was expecting. John continues to warm up to the idea of having a baby with Natalie. Gigi vows to Brody that she will keep his and Natalie’s secret. Elsewhere in Llanview, Inez confesses to Nate that Ford and James are his brothers, and later tells Bo that she took his advice. Starr talks with Langston about James’ feelings for her. As they comfort one another, Dani urges Nate to make peace with his mom. Langston agrees to go out on a date with James. And Jessica demands the truth from Ford on Friday, August 13.

The Inside Story: Final Wishes

Blair accepts Téa’s request that she become Dani’s mother and legal guardian upon her death on Monday, August 9. Meanwhile, Todd and Dani remain upset over Téa’s decision to die alone in hospice care. Dani pleads with Todd to try and change her mother’s mind, however he tells her that they must honor her wishes. On Wednesday, August 11, Todd and Dani say their final good-byes to Téa, who implores Todd to be a better person for their daughter’s sake. Later, Todd becomes increasingly distraught over Téa.

A Closer Look: Suspicious Minds

Eli knocks Cristian out and makes off with Evangeline’s file on him. Layla accompanies Cristian to the hospital on Monday, August 9 to get checked out. Kelly begins her own investigation of Eli. On Wednesday, August 11, she rummages through his room at the Palace, before taking refuge under his bed when he returns unexpectedly. As Eli shreds the stolen file, Kelly sends a frantic text message to Rex asking for help. After making a get-away, Rex and Kelly return to La Boulaie with the shredded file on Thursday, August 12. Later, Rex informs Kelly that Natalie has agreed to do what she can to help piece the file back together. John talks to Eli about Hannah’s recent suicide attempt. Afterward, he reminds Hannah what will happen if she squeals. Cole tells John he has doubts about Hannah’s guilt. On Friday, August 13, John tells Hannah they need to talk about Eli.

    “All My Children” will not air on Tuesday, August 10; an encore presentation of “General Hospital” will air in the 1 P.M. EST time-slot. Caleb senses Krystal’s turmoil regarding Marissa on Wednesday, August 11. Krystal convinces Caleb he needs a new look. On Thursday, August 12, Bianca and Kendall catch up on what’s been going on in their lives. Damon tells an alarmed Tad that he’s going to stop taking his medication. On Friday, August 13, Colby keeps on encountering a handsome young stranger named Asher (Trent Garrett).

    The Inside Story: No Place Like Home
    Greenlee misleads her blackmailing husband. Ryan is determined to find out the truth after his latest unsettling encounter with Greenlee. Jake agrees to assist Ryan with his plan to get Greenlee to admit what David is doing to her. On Monday, August 9, a concerned Kendall gets a surprise when she arrives at Ryan’s hospital room. Ryan persuades Kendall to go along with his plan. Jake informs Greenlee that Ryan has taken a turn for the worse. Ryan reveals his ruse to an emotional Greenlee. Ryan tells Greenlee she doesn’t have to take David on alone on Thursday, August 12. David, meanwhile, recruits Liza’s assistance in blackmailing his wife.

    A Closer Look: No Turning Back
    Annie pleads Scott’s case to JR and urges him not to tell anyone about her fiance stealing Palmer’s idea. Marissa misinterprets a tender moment between her husband and Annie. On Wednesday, August 11, a distraught Marissa turns to Scott and the pair end up having sex. JR, meanwhile, confesses to Annie that she’s not very easy to get over. Marissa resolves that she has to leave JR and shows up at Krystal’s doorstep with her luggage. JR and Annie reel from the realization that Marissa and Scott believe they slept together again on Friday, August 13. A hurt Annie confronts Scott about his lack of faith in her. Marissa, meanwhile, lets JR know that regardless of whether he did or didn’t sleep with Annie their marriage is over. Scott is alarmed by Marissa’s suggestion.

    IT HAPPENED TODAY…

    Cole returns home to Starr after his night-long vigil by Hannah’s bedside. Starr expresses her concern that Hannah is still trying to get Cole back. Starr is surprised by a visit from James.

    Ford worries that James found out Nate is thier brother. Bo hires Inez as his assistant.

    Téa tells Greg about the disorientation she suffered right before she married Todd and confesses she’s had other similar episodes. Greg is sorry to report her health is declining more rapidly than he feared.

    Layla and Cristian return home from Maryland, grieving the loss of Evangeline. Todd learns about Evangeline’s death from Cristian. Ford shows a sensitive side of himself to Layla after learning of her sister’s death. Layla comes across a folder labeled with the name Bennett Thompson in Evangeline’s belongings.

    Annie tells Scott she wants to elope. JR apologizes to Marissa for his outburst regarding her job offer and reassures her of his support. When JR asks about having children, Marissa puts on the brakes and admits they need to rebuild their relationship.

    Damon and Colby make plans to leave Pine Valley for good. After finding an address in Colby’s room for a hotel in Ohio, Liza finds Damon.

    Jesse urges Angie to keep taking the medication but she refuses to because of the baby. Angie wants to protect the baby and makes it clear that despite what could happen to her, she will not terminate the pregnancy.
