(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — In August 2009, contract cast members of ABC's "All My Children" were required to attend a mandatory meeting which resulted in the news that the soap was being moved to the West Coast in hopes of saving money on the drama series' budget. Now comes word that a similar meeting has been called for contract cast members for sister soap "One Life to Live." Could Llanview be heading out west as well or is this the end for your favorite characters?

TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco is reporting in his latest The Soapgeist column that stars of the soap are required to attend an onset meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 26.

Fans on our SON Community Message Boards are speculating that there are three scenarios that this meeting could have been called for:

  1. OLTL Canceled?
  2. OLTL moving out West?
  3. Craft Servies Eliminated as a pre-emptive strike.

While the third is the funniest, it would be a better option than option #1.

Soap Opera Network will have news of the outcome of said meeting once news breaks.

"One Life to Live" airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
