(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — A party full of the unexpected…

THIS WEEK ON:
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

On Monday, July 5 Jeffrey and Gloria set their sights on making big plans for Indigo. That same day, after tormenting Patty, Adam finds himself hauled off to jail for conspiracy to commit murder. Mac has a hard time distancing herself from the twins and opens up to JT. Abby's actions at Katherine's party gets her in hot water with Ashley. Thursday, July 8, Chloe is once again up to her old tricks when she continues to keep tabs on Heather and Chance.

The Inside Story: Staking Her Claim
It's the day of Katherine's big July 4th party at her house and Lauren is nervous that when she arrives, Jill will be there. Jill, still feeling the burn of being rejected by Lauren, decides to step up her plan in getting what she believes is rightfully hers in the Fenmore Estate. When both women arrive at the party, Katherine and Nikki notice Jill handing money to the man that has arrived with her and automatically assume she's paid someone to be her date. As the party takes some interesting turns, Jill throws another wrench in it by announcing that she has officially changed her name to 'Fenmore', to Katherine's shock and Lauren's dismay. While Tucker can understand Jill's situation, he offers her his support and kindness but Nikki makes it a point to insult Jill. Meanwhile, the man that arrived with Jill at the party steps forward and announces that he's Jill's lawyer. He points out that now that Jill knows that she is a Fenmore, she has every right to have a portion of that etate. Furious with the announcement, Lauren seethes that no matter the fact that they share the same father, she will never be Femore in her eyes.

A Closer Look: Righting Many Wrongs
After Patty has yet another breakdown after her tormenting from Adam, she begins to remember being in the basement of G.C.A.C's basement during the mascarade party with blood on her hands. Owen instantly pounces on the confession and reports back to Paul. Paul tells Owen that he strongly doubts that Patty's memories are true; they could be just rambling thoughts that she's had for some time; Owen, is not phased. Later on that day, Paul meets with Victor and they both in turn approach Emily with a request: try her best to help Patty. Alone, Paul wonders how he will be able to do what's right for his sister.
