(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — So you have a question about your favorite soap and you have no clue how to get the answers you're looking for? Introducing Soap Opera Network's newest column, Ask & Answer – where you ask the questions and we get the answers. Ask & Answer will be posted every Friday evening exclusively on SoapOperaNetwork.com.

In this weeks inaugural edition, we answer questions relating to Vanessa Marcil's return to "General Hospital," who is the writer behind the new ABC.com/SOAPnet.com original series "What If…," provide you with dates you can catch David Hasselhoff back on "The Young and the Restless" and much, much more.

I know David Hasselhoff is returning to "The Young and the Restless" starting next week, but how long is he on for?
According to a "Y&R" representative, Hasselhoff will air from Tuesday, June 15 through Friday, June 18 and then again on Monday, June 21, making his return to the show a total of five episodes in length. Hasselhoff's character, Dr. William 'Snapper' Foster, Jr., is back to care of his ailing mother, Liz Foster, played by actress Juliana McCarthy. The actress also returns starting June 15.

Vanessa Marcil is returning to "General Hospital" in August as Brenda Barrett, but for how long will she be on the show this time around?
While the rumor is that Vanessa had signed a one-year contract with "GH," it is the policy of all soaps to not comment on actor contracts.

Where's your Kelly Monaco interview? I've been waiting forever to read it!
Due to technical problems beyond our control, we were unable to post our  interview with Kelly [Sam McCall, "General Hospital"] and others in a time frame we would have liked. However, things are now back in order. We will have Kelly Monaco's interview posted on Tuesday, June 15. In fact, we'll also have Bradford Anderson's [Damian Spinelli, "General Hospital"] interview posted on Wednesday, June 16 as well. How's that for making up for lost time?

Do you know when the Johnny and Brook Lynn stuff starts…I mean really starts?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide spoiler information beyond our full-length PreVUE's and Alerts that we post each week. We can say, however, that you should continue to watch "General Hospital" for hints on what's happening with the two characters.

Can you tell me who is behind the writing for "What If…," the new ABC.com series that brings Erica Kane and Sonny Corinthos and others together? I'm really excited to see my favorite characters come together.
Her name is Sara Saedi, who is a former programming executive at "General Hospital." The 10 webisodes, which are 4-6 minutes long and will air in cut-down versions on both ABC and SOAPnet, debuts on ABC.com and SOAPnet.com in mid-July according to ABC. We'll have quotes from the actors on our site in the coming weeks.

So I was reading your message boards and I came across a post where it said you guys are taking on a "new direction, new attitude." What does that even mean?
Essentially, for the 8 1/2 years that Soap Opera Network has been online, we have been posting news and previews on the website relating to what's happening on your favorite soaps, which could be considered "fluff" pieces. Meanwhile, people are angry with their shows, and while the soaps themselves are trying to keep their audiences, they are getting canceled left and right. Instead of pretending things are "business as usual," we have collaboratively decided to take a closer look at the soaps and what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. We will be looking at non-soap media and questioning their perceptions on our soaps, we'll look at the financial stakes involved in the soap business and we'll be touching on topics that may or may not please certain audiences, including discussing matters such as homosexuality and  physical and mental abuse.
