(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — As America celebrates its independence next month with cookouts, fireworks, and family vacations, ABC Daytime isn’t letting the fact that the 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year keeping them from airing encore episodes of your favorite daytime dramas.

On Monday, July 5th, instead of showing first-run episodes of your favorite ABC Daytime dramas “All My Children,” “General Hospital” or “One Life to Live,” the network has opted to air repeat episodes of their soaps in honor of Indepedence Day. These episodes are said to be important moments in each soap’s current storylines.  Here is preview of what to expect:

  • All My Children” Episode #10692 (original air date 04/14/10) — Zach tells Greenlee that although his feelings for Kendall have changed, he does still love her and wants to try and make his marriage work. Zach points out to Greenlee she herself played a role in the events that led to the accident and changed everyone’s lives. Greenlee’s anger returns in full force when Ryan arrives with Kendall. Greenlee ends up storming out and is clearly nowhere close to forgiving Kendall. Alone at the airport, Greenlee isn’t sure where her next destination should be. Zach tells Kendall he won’t try to stop her from going back to Pine Valley but makes it clear he won’t be going with her. JR admits to Annie that he wants her but says he loves Marissa and heads upstairs to his wife. Amanda pushes Natalia towards Brot while at the same time; Jake encourages Brot to take a chance with Natalia. Brot catches Natalia off guard when he suddenly pulls her into a kiss.
  • One Life to Live” Episode #10656 (original air date 05/24/10) — At the airport John declares his feelings to Natalie. John explains that what she witnessed with Marty was a goodbye kiss. Natalie does not tell john about sleeping with Brody. Jessica tells Brody that she has recovered her lost memories. Langston confesses to having lied to Starr about the length and nature of her relationship with Ford. Starr reels and holds Langston accountable, but ultimately will not abandon her friend. An angry Markko seeks refuge at Buenos Dias remembering the way in which Ford rubbed his sexual conquest in Markko’s face. Ford is bludgeoned and left for dead. Penny gets Rex and Gigi released from jail. They look inside the mysterious box and find an old photograph that leads them to wonder if the answers about Rex’s parents can be found near a mountain in the Sangre De Cristo range, Wheeler Peak. Markko washes blood off his hands in the Buenos Dias.
  • General Hospital” Episode #11983 (original air date 01/29/10) — Everyone gathers for Josslyn’s christening. Dominic makes a bold move when he realizes Sonny is planning on having him meet an untimely demise and their confrontation takes a tragic turn. Lucky admits to Jason he isn’t sure if he’ll be able to be a good father to Jake. Robin advises Nikolas to keep his distance from Elizabeth.  (This episode was originally scheduled to be re-broadcast on Memorial Day, however, ABC chose to air a different episode of “GH” shortly before the holiday).

Original episodes of your favorite ABC soaps return Tuesday, July 6th.  Happy 4th of July from your friends at Soap Opera Network.
