(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Pine Valley bids adieu to three major forces this week.

“All My Children” says goodbye to Palmer Cortlandt on today’s episode. The episode will feature flashbacks of some of Palmer’s most memorable moments along with unaired footage of James Mitchell portraying Palmer (the footage was taped at the actors California home for the soaps 40th Anniversary episode earlier this year). Gillian Spencer, who played Palmer’s most memorable ex-wife Daisy, Taylor Miller, who played Palmer’s daughter Nina, and Alicia Minshew, who plays one of the Kane women the tycoon had a special affinity for, will make guest appearances on the tribute episode. Mitchell passed away on January 22 at the age of 89.

David Canary puts in his last appearance as Stuart Chandler on Wednesday, April 21, when Adam shares heartwarming scenes with his deceased brother’s spirit.

On Friday, April 23, Canary wraps up nearly three decades of playing the undeniable force that is Adam Chandler. Look for the heart-sick character to reunite with the love of his life, Brooke English, and take off for a stress-free happily ever after. Of course, this means that the Emmy darling is taking Julia Barr, the actress who has portrayed Brooke from 1976 to 2006 and since February, off-screen with him. Barr returned to the soap specifically for this story. In another nice nod to “AMC” history, look for Susan Lucci’s Erica to play a big roll in Brooke and Adam’s exit episodes. Although the retiring, east-coast based Canary has said that he’s open to returning for stints, it appears more likely that we’ll see Barr on-screen as Adam’s surrogate from time to time in the future.

Make sure not to miss a moment of “AMC” this week!

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings. “AMC” now also airs online at ABC.com and SOAPnet.com which can be accessed 24/7.
