(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — A soap vet’s first airdate is announced, upcoming appearances for a certain young actress are given, three new casting calls are released, and new details into a previous audition script are revealed, all this and more in this edition of Llanview Gossip.

“Another World” alum Alice Barrett makes her return to Llanview on Tuesday, March 30th, this time as Dr. Townshend, when she informs Marty that her pregnancy is very high risk.  This comes after Marty is rushed to the hospital by paramedics following a fainting spell.  Barrett last appeared on “OLTL” in 2008 as Dr. Morrison.  The role is short-term recurring.

Several upcoming airdates for Shenell Edmonds (Destiny) have been released by her fan club manager.  Expect to see the young actress on March 23rd, along with April 5th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th, as well as May 5th and 6th.

Although the names of the actor and actress cast in the roles remains to be seen, expect to see “young Jessica” and “young Cristian” on Thursday, March 18th, when Jess remembers the first time she and Cris kissed in the Llanview High gym.

“One Life to Live” released three new casting calls Monday afternoon.  The first is for the role of “Penny,” who appears to be a jewelry store owner.  “Gabe” and a woman come into the shop and Penny, assuming they are married, asks if she can help them.  He tells her that they are not married, and goes on to ask Penny if she knows the history behind a particular piece of jewelry.  Looking at it, Penny claims that it resembles something her grandfather once made, and wonders if he may have the other piece.  Gabe says that they (he and the female with him) would like to know as well, and asks Penny if her grandfather kept good records, to which Penny replies that he keeps all the information in his head.  Gabe requests to speak with him, however, Penny says that he is very ill.

The “Ella” and “Otto” scripts are apparently the same, and may be Penny’s grandparents.  When he gives her a piece of jewelry that he made, she refuses to accept it, claiming that they could make more money if they sold it.  She goes on to say that their business is in trouble financially, and besides, they both already know how much they mean to one another.

Remember that “OLTL” frequent changes names in these audition scripts to try to throw off viewers.

“One Life to Live” has released more information for the recent audition script for “Reed Wagner.”  The soap is looking for a Caucasian actor in his mid 30’s to early 40’s for the ‘heavily recurring’ role, which is described as “a sexy, good looking suave financial hot shot, that is self assured, charming and confident.”  The casting call expires on April 12th.  To read a summary of the audition script, click here.  Also, you can see a video clip of Shawn Parsons reading for the role here
