Who Needs Kate? Lisa LoCicero Placed on Contract

Sunday, July 5, 2009 4:20 AM ET | By Errol Lewis

Lisa LoCicero (SoapOperaNetwork.com) – Just three months after bumping Megan Ward (Kate Howard) to recurring status, ABC’s “General Hospital” has upgraded Ward’s onscreen sister cousin, Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri), to contract status.

Since joining the cast of “General Hospital” in 2008, LoCicero’s Olivia has enjoyed a taudry affair with Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash) and a flirtation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Recently, it was revealed that Olivia’s son with Sonny, Dante, has come to Port Charles in the form of hired hitman Dominic (Dominic Zamprogna).

LoCicero got her start in the 1994 short-film “Murder Too Sweet.” She would later join the cast of ABC Daytime’s “Loving” as Jocelyn Roberts Brown, a character which she took to “Loving” spin-off “The City” in 1995. Upon that soaps cancellation in 1997, the actress began appearing in a number of high profile primetime dramas including NBC’s “Law & Order” and ABC’s “NYPD Blue.” From 2004 to 2007, she appeared as Maria Storm in the Comedy Central series “Reno 911.”

Fans of Megan Ward don’t fret, you can next see the actress on the soap on Wednesday, July 15, when Kate gives Maxie some financial assurance.

“General Hospital” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
